The Rwenzori Health Swim Challenge

Up early 🥱 First leg on my way to Fukuoka via Paris and Seoul. Managed to get through check-in and security relatively quickly. But the Gate was a good 14’ walk, refreshment stalls shut and vending mentions empty. The flight was on time and just under an hour later landed at Charles de Gaulle airport for the first stop-over. Walked to a lounge area, had a baguette and orange juice and waited for boarding on the Air France to Seoul. That was going to be an 11.15 hour flight. Was hoping to get some shut eye on the way.

Incheon Airport in Seoul is architecturally beautiful, massive, spotless, with loads of shops and food courts. I had to get to Terminal 1 from T2 and that took almost 15’ with the shuttle bus! The Korean people are very friendly and helpful. The Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation re-enacts ceremonies at different times (no definite schedules) around the terminal building. Unfortunately by the time i got my phone out the procession had moved on. It shows a procession for a royal wedding. The photo doesn’t do it justice. The costumes are stunning. As i had a 4-hour stop-over I managed my 10,000 steps for the day. The whole trip so far has taken around 24 hours from walking up yesterday - and not much sleep. Dying to get to the hotel in Fukuoka and crashing. The hotel has a pool there; so i might just test the waters after checking in.
